JetBlue, Qantas and Caribbean Airlines All Add New Routes This Week
Sometimes it’s hard to stay on top of all the new route announcements that come our way, so we’ve complied a little bit of a rundown below. As long as you can afford the fares, this should definitely help add to your passport stamp collection.
· JetBlue:
Residents of the Constitution State are getting pretty friendly with JetBlue, and to reward their loyalty the airline is now offering up nonstop flights from Hartford to West Palm Beach. It’s going to be a daily affair all year long, and things kick off for the first time on January 12. If you’re thinking about checking out what JetBlue has to offer—act quickly—as some of the initial fares can be had for just $79 each way. Now all Connecticut needs is another nonstop to a Caribbean island—something that requires a passport—and they’ll be all set!
· Caribbean Airlines:
If you need somewhere to catch up on the sun and sand this winter there’s always Guyana, and thanks to Caribbean Airlines you can get there direct from New York-JFK. The airline is boosting its schedule for the busy holiday travel season, and it’s the first time they’re offering this option up without a layover. Don’t expect any deals or limited time offers to celebrate the new option, because you know they are only increasing the schedule for the holidays to cash in.

Costa Rica Loves Them Some JetBlue, Plus More New Routes This Week
Sometimes it’s hard to stay on top of all the new route announcements that come our way, so we’ve complied a little bit of a rundown below. As long as you can afford the fares, this should definitely help add to your passport stamp collection.
· JetBlue:
This week’s top spot has to go out to JetBlue, as the airline that’s all about free in-flight snacks and television has added it’s 70th different global destination. It’s Liberia in Costa Rica, and the new flights are headed between there and New York-JFK four times a week. They’ll be using Airbus A320s to serve the new routes and plan to fly into the brand new terminal at Oduber Quirós International Airport. The flights are scheduled for Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Tuesdays and will leave JFK around 10am and get to Costa Rica around 2pm.
· Caribbean Airline:
If you’re sick of Mickey Mouse and theme parks you might want to consider the latest option from Caribbean Airlines. This week the airline started nonstop flights between Orlando and Port of Spain—that’s in Trinidad and Tobago—thanks to a little help from Boeing 737s. The new flights run twice a week now through the beginning of September. It might not have the booming tourist economy of some of the other island nations, but you really can’t go wrong with pretty much anywhere in the Caribbean—right?

New Routes to Get You Across the Pond, Down to Paradise, and to the West
Sometimes it’s hard to stay on top of all the new route announcements that come our way, so we’ve complied a little bit of a rundown below. As long as you can afford the fares, this should definitely help add to your passport stamp collection.
· Delta:
We knew Delta was adding London options from a couple new cities, but now the time has come. If you’re looking to head out of the country for Spring Break, or just are starting to plan for a summer vacation to Europe consider these new routes. Miami and Boston are getting nonstop flights across the pond beginning on March 26. If you want to upgrade your comfort, Delta is even offering business class seats for as low as low as $1500-ish on these new flights into the beginning of May.
· Alaska Airlines:
It is the season for summer service, and Alaska Airlines is ready to start up some new options to welcome the warmer weather. Seasonal service between Portland, Oregon and Billings, Montana begins on June 5 and runs through the end of August. It’s the same dates for another option out of Oregon—Portland to Missoula, Montana. Look for Alaska Airline’s buddy—Horizon Air—and their Bombardier Q400s to head back and forth through the summer.

Caribbean Airlines Hires Hotties To Build Their Brand
When we think of heading down to the islands of the Caribbean, we usually look for cheap airfare on a low cost carrier or one of the country’s big boy airlines. For whatever reason, Caribbean Airlines never seems to be an option, nor do we even give the airline a second thought. Maybe that’s why the marketing gurus at the airline got together to give their company a fighting chance against all the competition.
The airline launched a contest to find 30 people to show off the spirit of the airline, the islands, and all things paradise. Apparently, they want you to feel on vacation as soon as you step aboard the plane—doubtful. These new brand ambassadors are made up of 20 good looking ladies and 10 handsome fellas, and will be out and about promoting the company that signs their paychecks. The Faces of Caribbean Airlines will make their first debut at Miami Carnival on October 10—probably in skimpy clothing.
