From Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck falling in love in Rome to Julia Roberts circling the globe to find herself, film has played an important role in shaping both the golden years and current day of travel. Thus, we present our newest series, Travel Movie Tuesday, where we detail the most inspiring travel films.
Crossing timezones while bleary-eyed and immersing yourself into foreign cultures at the risk of looking out of place is all par for the course when it comes to experiencing new lands and the people that inhabit them. In the years between World War I and World War II, travel also held the dangers of political instability and the emotional scars of war. 'Seven Years in Tibet' combines all of these elements to tell the true story of famed mountaineer, Heinrich Harrer, and his experience traveling during such a time.
Three fall three of next year's most highly anticipated movies are filming, including one that will reunite Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on the big screen.
Check out where you can find these movies filming right now.

Malta is about to have a moment as three of the world's most famous people are headed there this fall.
Kensington Palace just announced The Duchess of Cambridge will visit Malta on September 20 and 21 to represent The Queen on the 50th anniversary of Malta's independence. The tour will be significant, not only because it is Kate's first solo foreign tour, but also because The Queen considers her stay there in the 1950s one of the happiest times in her life
Fury, starring Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf, is a World War II drama following the trials of a tank squadron as they infiltrate Nazi territory. The movie's not due out in theaters until November 2014, but the crew has nearly concluded filming and Pitt's congratulated himself for his own hard work by buying an airplane.
Since this is Brad Pitt we're talking about, the airplane in question won't just be any old thing; the purchase is in fact a WWII Spitfire flown by the Royal Air Force. The price tag? A cool $3.3 million.

During her tour, Ellen also met several young volunteers who have been helping Pitt in his efforts by painting, putting up dry wall, and doing other odd jobs around the newly built houses.
The Brangelina clan added more stamps to their passports last week as they traveled from Tokyo to Vietnam. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took their six children to Vietnam, where their son Pax was born, after premiering Brad's latest movie, Moneyball, in Japan.
The couple wanted Pax to visit his home country so he could better understand, and be proud of, his culture. "They are all learning about each other's cultures as well as being proud of their own," Jolie recently said of her three adopted children.

The London riots are keeping most people off the streets, but those people probably don't have their own personal team of bodyguards.
Angelina Jolie hasn't let a little thing like a massive riot keep her and her kids cooped up while they're staying in London, instead she simply added another security guard to their team. "Angie was a little nervous [about going out Tuesday], but felt safe," a sources said. "[Security] had an extra man on the job."

With two busy careers, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt never seem to be in one place for very long. This week the couple, along with their entire brood, moved into a $11 million mansion in Qrendi, Malta where Brad started filming his next movie, World War Z.
On Tuesday night, the couple brought a few of Brad's co-workers out to Trattoria Da Pippo in the nearby capital of Valletta, where they enjoyed a feast of Antipasto of parma ham, salami, Maltese sausage and maltese goat cheese, mussels, pasta with clams, sea urchins, veal with parma ham and sage, plus king prawns and fried calamari.

It looks like this year's Cannes Film Festival turned out to be Festival de Sean Penn. Not only did Penn have two winning films in the fest, he was also honored at the first Cinema For Peace inaugural dinner for his charity work in Haiti.
On Saturday, This Must Be The Place, in which Sean plays an aging rock star, won the festival's prestigious Ecumenical Jury Prize. And on Sunday, the Cannes Film Festival awarded its highest prize, the Palme d'Or, to The Tree of Life, a film by Terrence Malick which also stars Penn, along with Brad Pitt. Though the movie won top honors at the fest, there's some questions about how regular Joes (a.k.a. the rest of us) will embrace the movie, especially since it features dinosaurs, little dialog, and Sean Penn as Brad Pitt's adult son.
If you thought your holiday travel plans were hectic, than for once be happy you aren't Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt, as they've not only got a gaggle of children in their posse and paparazzi tailing them around the globe 24/7, but their plans for Christmas aren't event quite solidified yet. The Daily Mail reports that the Jolie-Pitt clan is off to an undisclosed location, but it will be "a random part of the world."
When you're the most recognizable movie star, travel such as this can hardly be random, so we've listed our Top 3 PIcks for a Jolie-Pitt Holiday Destination:
· Hawaii: Hawaii seems to be the (literal) hotspot for Christmas vacation this year, and both Paris Hilton and President Barack Obama and family led the celeb charge to the islands this week, though not together, of course.

Angelina Jolie may be one of the most beautiful and influential women in the world, but even she had a hard time convincing Bosnian officials to let her film in their country.
Angie recently started shooting her directorial debut, a love story between a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman that is set in Bosnia during the 1992-95 Bosnian War. But she's not actually filming in Bosnia. Instead most of the movie is being made in Budapest, with only a few weeks of filming planned to take place in Sarajevo next month.
The world's most set-jetting couple and their brood spent Sunday morning searching for Easter eggs and devouring chocolates like the rest of us, but, unlike the rest of us, they were on the beautiful Italian island of San Servolo.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie rented the island in the Venetian lagoon for the day so their kidsMaddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Viviennecould have a very big, very private Easter egg hunt. But don't think mom and dad were up at dawn hiding all those eggs, as apparently that's what bodyguards are for. After they found all of their eggs and opened their baskets, the whole family enjoyed a picnic on one of the island's Great Lawns.
