Back to Nantucket: How to Take the High-Speed Ferry
In case you missed it, our fearless leader—and editor—headed over to Nantucket for a few days of rest, relaxation, and exploration. We kind of were intrigued by what she saw and what she did, so before we knew it we were looking up the ferry schedule and figuring out a way to blow off obligations for a chance to head 30-miles off the cost of mainland Massachusetts. Unfortunately for us we missed out on the JetBlue deal, but then again there’s always the ferry.
There’s a couple different commercial ships running back and forth between Nantucket and the large island known as the contiguous United States. Freedom Cruise Line, Hy-Line Ferry, and the trusty Steamship Authority all send ferry boats back and forth across Nantucket Sound. We went with the high-speed option from the Steamship Authority, and would recommend it to you as well.

Where to Drink During the Miami International Boat Show, Starting Today

The Miami International Boat Show kicks off today, and you can already tell, from the ghastly traffic. (Hint: take a scooter or a DecoBikeor even, dare we say it, a boat.)
Aside from the opportunity to gawk at power boats, mega-yachts and all the tanned, leathery rich people who own them, the five-day event is a great excuse to drink alongside sailors and said tanned rich people. After all, you never know when you may get an invitation to party on someone's yacht.
Here are our top picks for where to drink during Boat Show weekend:
1. Monty's: This outdoor raw bar with a pool is located at the Miami Beach Marina, making it an awesome year-round choice for tiki-bar drinks and stone crabs. This weekend, it will be a zoo, but in the merriest of ways. Considering the cost of some of the boats docked alongside it, Monty's is refreshingly laidback and often rowdy.

Simon Cowell Will Have His Ex-Girlfriends Over To His Yacht For Christmas
We never thought we'd utter these words, but we really wish had an ex like Simon Cowell. Apparently, the American Idol judge andX-Factor producer has asked his ex-girlfriends Sinitta, Jackie St. Clair and Terri Seymour to join him on a private yacht in the Caribbean for Christmas. Terri hasn't confirmed whether or not she's going, but Sinetta can't wait. She recently told The Mirror, "I'm going to join [Simon] in Antigua. The best thing is that he has his own chef as he can't cook." Sounds good to us.
It won't be as much fun as it sounds for Simon though. His mother will be along for the trip so that may put a damper on any male fantasies he was having, plus he's still in negotiations with ITV, the UK company that produces The X-Factor over his salary. He's reportedly looking for £2million an episode to continue doing the show. A source explained to The Mirror, "Cowell wants to forget about the show for a few weeks but it's much on his mind. As much as it irritates everyone, he will be glued to his BlackBerry to check what ITV are offering."
If you want to invite an ex on a private Caribbean yacht vacation this Christmas, BVI Family Yacht Charters has crewed sail boats and yachts available year round. The inclusive trips start at $6,900 for a one bedroom (plus 10% during the holidays).
