Taking It off at the Security Checkpoints
Blackbook has put together a clever little photo shoot about this season's must-have accessories for both fashionistas and Jason Pomeranc wannabes. And the inspiration was that oh-so-sexy, consistently glamorous, trend-setting hot spot... The TSA Security Checkpoint.
Yes, that's right. X-ray machines are the new wind machines. Blackbook dropped pricey accessories into the all-too-familiar TSA bins for this shoot, including a $1,150 striped Prada bag, a $8,550 Gucci bracelet, $1,675 Giorgio Armani Messenger Bag and a $399 Apple iPod Touch. We wonder, if we posed in the bins, would we look as glamorous?
We also think that if luxe wear like this was really dropped into the gray bins on a daily basis, we imagine those reports of TSA employees stealing would skyrocket. But for the record, if we owned that $1,150 Prada bag, we would never let it near a grubby conveyor belt. Quelle horreur!
