Bikini Travel: Almost Outlawed on Bali

That favorite holiday isle of Indonesia, the tropical paradise that is Bali, almost got a radical new look.

The mostly Muslim country was considering banning the wearing of bikinis in every part of the country as part of an anti-pornography bill being pushed through the Indonesian parliament by some of the more conservative Muslim parties. Which is totally their right, of course--but it probably wouldn't be great for tourism on Bali in particular.

In any case, Bali is mainly Hindu, and plenty of locals there were vowing to simply break the law if the no-bikini rule got passed. Luckily it looks like they won't have to. The bill now contains exemptions for special tourist areas so relax: You can still pack your bikini for Bali.

Quick, before we have to get back to laboring! Britney Spears watches a pair of buff, shirtless men prepare her beach chair at the Mirage pool in Vegas over the weekend.

Rumor has it Brit may be back to work even faster than planned with a surprise appearance at the Video Music Awards next weekend, the same awards that are delivering our next episode of "The Hills" a whole day early.

But then it's not much of a surprise if there are already rumors about her return to the stage, right?

Bikini Travel: Sienna Miller Taunts The Paparazzi

Infidelity? What infidelity? Sienna Miller dared photographers to take a closer look as she vacationed with her mother and sister on a yacht off Ibiza this weekend.

The tiny swimsuits of a Mediterranean getaway were paired with cigarettes and glasses of rosé instead of Balthazar Getty, the actor whom Miller has been accused of pulling away from his wife (they are now separated). And, unfortunately for the European tabloids, Miller kept her bikini top on this trip. And they say stars can't learn from their mistakes!

Bikini Travel: Audrey Tautou's Far From Roman Holiday

Amelie would never go somewhere as quirk-free as Malibu: Audrey Tautou gets some sun on the island of Pantelleria, south of Sicily.

After being involved in the debacle of "The DaVinci Code," Tautou went back to movies made in her native French. (We blame Akiva Goldsman.) But she's gearing up to play a local hero -- designer Coco Chanel -- for a new biopic that begins shooting this fall, "Coco avant Chanel." If it's as big as the buzz, she'll be able to afford more nice vacations on the way back from the Oscars.

Bikini Travel: Britney Spears in Cabo

Well, looky here! A tan and svelte-looking Britney Spears was sunning by the pool in Mexico on vacation this week. Is this the body of someone who has been indoors working on her new album all summer? We think not.

All that hotness comes at a price, though: Spears is reportedly spending $22,000 a month on diets and trainers to maintain her "In the Zone"-era body. Rumor has it she'll also be back this fall as a guest on the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother," even though she wasn't nominated for a guest Emmy for her performance as nerdy, awkward receptionist Abby.

With this release, we believe it's time to lift our almost-total blackout on Britney news which has been in place since 2007. We're sure she's glad we consider her "together" enough to resume gentle mockery.
