Not So Good, Al?

Not everyone had such a shining, golden experience with the Wifi in Nassau, Bahamas. What? Something else that doesn't work perfectly down in the Caribbean? Shocking, we know. Writes one tipster:
I've been trying that supposed free wifi in the Nassau airport for years. It doesn't exist. It's not free. Unless things have changed in the past 2 months....
Had any experience with this persnickety Wifi yourself? Write to us: tipsATjauntedDOTcom.

These days everyone is looking for one true go-to WiFi spot. Sure JiWire can give you an exhaustive list, but here at Jaunted we are starting a weekly search for go-to WiFi spots. The rules are simple. The signal has to be free, fast, and reliable, and the spot has to have at least one redeeming quality. Have a city or destination you want us to investigate? Let us know. And if you have a favorite WiFi spot you are willing to share, send it to tipsATjauntedDOTcom.

Nassau Airport :: Domestic Terminal
Sure no one goes to the Bahamas in search of free, four bar WiFi--at least we hope not--however, it was a bit of an Easter egg to discover that the spartan domestic terminal at Nassau Airport came equipped with strong, free, reliable WiFi, courtesy of Batelnet.
We have heard horror stories about telcom in the Caribbean, but this Batelnet hot spot had us thinking setting up shop in the Bahamas might not be a half baked idea after all. See, despite what you read on New York subway posters, the Bahamas won't kill you.
Reedeeming Quality
No one will bother you, and the lone terminal television will more than likely be showing "Who's The Boss".

White House Tavern
This is your run of the mill Boston area dive bar. Packed with BU and BC students on the weekends, but extremely quiet and airy on weekdays when all those crazy kids are sleeping or in class. The bar food is decent, and the wait staff is perfectly happy serving you food and drinks, or letting you be while you work online.
There are also a decent amount of working outlets in the bar, especially near the front windows.
If you are looking for a place to grab some lunch and get some work done, this spot should do. However, don't stroll in here after dark thinking you can get some work done, when the sun goes down this place turns into a crowded college hang.
Reedeeming Quality
When the bar is empty there is enough space to spread out and the wait staff is fine with you ordering just enough food and drink not to feel like you are stealing their signal.
