Bar Refaeli Seeks Solace in St. Tropez Nightclub

We're heading into the final month of summer here and you know what that means--celebs will be descending en masse in St. Tropez on the French Riviera for their annual pilgrimage of partying, yachting, topless sunbathing, and more partying.
But it looks like Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue cover girl, Bar Refaeli is getting a head start. The beauty was seen partying it up with Brazilian polo player and entrepreneur Ricardo Mansur, leading us to believe that her on-off boyfriend, Leonardo DiCaprio, is once again "off." This Ricardo dude might also have it out for Leo as he reportedly once dated Leo's ex, Gisele Bundchen, as well.

Where Does Bar Refaeli Dine When She's Home in Tel Aviv?

Tel Aviv is Israel's largest city and the center of the country's secular life. The residents recline on glistening beaches. They dance in bustling clubs. They shop in skyscraper malls. And every morning they sit on Freeway 2 and share one of the Middle East's worst commutes with two million of their closest friends.
In between all that, they still found time to give unto the world Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model Bar Refaeli. Let us pause and give thanks.

SI Models Converge On Vegas, Take A Nap

In keeping with the visitors bureau’s switch from the suggestive “What Happens Here, Stays Here,” to the soothingly soporific “Take a Break” as its marketing slogan, the first thing Bar Refaeli did when she arrived in Vegas aboard Southwest’s SI One at was hit the sheets. Alone, no less.

Six Stars We'd Like To See On The Side Of A Plane
After seeing a hundred-foot-long Bar Refaeli on a Southwest plane yesterday, we began to question why more planes don't have really, really, ridiculously good-looking people on them. Sure, the commenters at Blog Southwest may not all agree with us that a swimsuit-issue snap is appropriate, but these frequent travelers look good in everything -- or almost nothing.
So meet the fleet of Jaunted Air -- the best-looking planes in the business. We've got three lovely ladies and three dashing men, who we hope will be as happy to see them in the air as we are.

Bar Refaeli Touches Down In Bikini'd Southwest Plane
"So this is a magazine," supermodel Bar Refaeli said, holding this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue which features her on the cover. All subscribers automatically receive SI's most popular issue, but they don't get to ride with Refaeli on SI One, a Southwest Airlines 737-300 wrapped with a shot of the Israeli model in a white bikini.
SI One touched down at New York's LaGuardia Airport, and we were probably the only ones just as excited about seeing the plane as seeing its cover girl. (The photographer next to us didn't know the Southwest markings and was continually disappointed as one after another plane passed without stopping.)
Giddily skipping about on Christian Louboutin heels, Refaeli said landing the cover was a complete shock to her -- she didn't find out until this week, when her agency coerced her to arrive in the city a few days early. The first person she called to tell? Mom. (Sorry, Leo!) This is her third appearance in the Swimsuit Issue, but she says she never contemplated being on a plane -- still, unlike most of us, the way-larger-than-life portrait didn't freak her out.
Like a pro, Refaeli gamely posed with Port Authority cops (one of whom was clutching his own camera) and the Southwest flight crew, albeit not in one of the signature bikinis she sports in SI. (Instead, she donned a Balenciaga jacket and James Perse tee. Bar and her bevy of beauties will be partying in New York tonight before boarding SI One to Las Vegas tomorrow for the Swimsuit Issue launch at the nightclub LAX.

Swimsuit Issue 2009 Locations Revealed

While we did our bestest to determine where some of the sexy snaps for Sports Illustrated's "Swimsuit Issue 2009" were taken before the issue actually came out, the men's mag managed to surprise us a quite a bit with their locations.
Cover girl Bar Refaeli was snapped on the Canouan Island in the Grenadines--a ho-hum choice since the Caribbean is a Swimsuit Issue go-to location. But other models were wriggling around in skimpy suits in Riviera Maya, Spain's Canary Islands, Cappadocia (Turkey) and Naples. Tennis stars like Tatiana Golovin were indeed snapped in the Dominican Republic but race car driver Danica Patrick and the NBA Dancers (random?) were photographed in New York at a studio.
In case you want more of where the Swimsuit Issue was shot, check out the website's dedicated page to the location photos. The page even lists the accommodations used by the crew and models in each location, complete with room rates and reservations numbers. Sorry, the SI Models don't come with the room.
Up next for the Swimsuit Issue? The gals will be boarding a dedicated Southwest plane from Laguardia to Las Vegas on Wednesday night for a party at the Luxor. The plane will even feature "Swimsuit Issue imagery" on the sides of the plane. But will it have in-flight WiFi?

Pack Like No One's Watching
How we learned to stop worrying and love our luggage: By taking a page from stars who tote their own and holding our head up high. Whether it's pulling your rolling bag with a smile, like Whitney Houston, or flouncing through security with a ballcap and a big ol' bow like Bar Refaeli, it's all about the attitude.
So go ahead, wear your ridiculous boots to the airport like Dakota Fanning. Whether you're new to the paparazzi gauntlet like "Slumdog Millionaire"'s Freida Pinto or so over that mess like Ryan Reynolds, you may as well love the baggage you're with.

Apply The Ryanair Rule To Your Favorite Stars
Last week Ryanair announced it would start fining passengers for taking more than one carry-on bag aboard. We don't imagine a lot of A-listers are taking Europe's cheapest airline, but if they did, who would rise to the challenge and who would be digging in their pockets for that £30 ($42) fee?
Anne Hathaway conquers the clutter with one tiny purse -- even her man-friend has a bigger bag! Kate Winslet's elegant handbag makes it easy for her to sign autographs for her fans and talk on her phone at LAX. Vanessa Hudgens looks a little weighted down by her huge bag, but she managed to keep it to one -- for an LAX-Tokyo flight, nonetheless!
But not every celeb can get down to that one bag. Bar Refaeli's pair of a blue purse and roller makes her a light packer, but a heavy overhead-bin user. Hayden Panettiere's super-chic belted bag (complete with seatbelt buckle) wouldn't fool a gate agent into thinking she was only toting a purse. And Jessica Simpson's second piece can't be checked -- she'd be paying a fat fine for her Maltipoo Daisy.

Mexico Travel: Leo's Last Hurrah
Leonardo DiCaprio and model girlfriend Bar Refaeli hunt for the suntan lotion on a beach in Cancun, Mexico over the weekend. Sadly, Leo appears to have packed that weird chin-beard he wears in his latest movie, Ridley Scott's "Body of Lies."
Back in December, trend-trackers predicted that travel to Central and South America would continue to rise in '08, and certainly many celebs have chosen to vacay in our neighbor to the south.
But given the economic climate, are people looking forward to any vacations in 2009? Forget "climate change" travel and learning-focused trips (two more trends predicted for this year); what's going to be the new hot trip? Taking one at all?

Bikini Travel: Bar Refaeli Braves Killer Jellyfish in France
Doesn't she know there's trouble in them thar waves? Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli frolics in the waves on the Plage de Pampelonne at Saint-Tropez, blissfully unaware of the giant cloud of jellyfish south of the French Riviera.
Naomi Campbell, Penelope Cruz and Bono have also recently been spotted at the elite Club 55 resort where Refaeli is staying after shooting a cross-country road trip with Tommy Hilfiger. Two of those people look great in bikinis.

Swimsuit Issue '08: Bikini Models on World Tour

It's here! The 2008 SI Swimsuit Issue is out today, and as usual it's a globe-spanning affair. As rumored, Ana Beatriz Barros was photographed north of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Brooklyn Decker posed in Caesarea, Israel as did Bar Refaeli, who didn't end up on the cover. That honor went to Marisa Miller, snapped in St. John in the US Virgin Islands, as we reported.
We tracked down all the locations (and all the models) and mapped 'em. The full report is after the jump.
