Around the World in 5 Minutes of Time-Lapse Video

Okay, so we're definitely a little bit late on discovering this awesome time-lapse travel video, but trust us that it's worth a look, or a re-watch if you're all like "whatever that's so two seconds ago."

Truly this is the best way to start off a week, getting a healthy dose of creative/destination/photography/introspection inspiration.

Here's the deal: Kien Lam (user kiendlam on YouTube) quit his job and took off on a round-the-world trip, capturing it all to condense into this nearly 5-minute time-lapse video. That's 343 days, 17 countries, 19 flights, 58 buses (!!), 18 boats and 6,237 images to summarize. It's official—we definitely don't have the patience to pull off great time-lapse photography such as this, which is why it's great that we have Mr. Lam for indulgences in armchair travel.

MTV and Bollywood Hottie Jacqueline Fernandez Team Up to Sell 'Travel Gear'

From this picture gallery and a couple Google searches, we learn that the MTV Travel Gear launch in Mumbai was attended by MTV VJs Bani, Ranvijay, and Ayushmann and by Bollywood beauty Jacqueline Fernandez. Other insights we gleaned, in no particular order, helpfully summarized for you in bullet point form:

· MTV has a line of travel gear. We're pretty sure it's only available in India. And maybe only at Wildcraft Stores.

· Fernandez is present as the travel gear's new brand ambassador. Sources have told Oneindia Entertainment that she was selected based on her free-spirit nature and the light hearted roles that she has done. That's a quote.

* Fernandez was Miss Sri Lanka at the Miss Universe competition in 2006. That might also have had something to do with the selection.
