The Journey Never Ends
"High School Musical 3: Senior Year" has already been out for a few weeks here in the US (including two weeks at the top of the box office), but that doesn't mean Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens get a break. Their international fans calling, the once-lightfooted couple trudges through security at LAX this weekend en route to Australia, where the movie is scheduled to open December 4.
Playing travel agent for a second, it's likely the kids are skipping Russia, Romania and Turkey where the movie opens this Friday. We're thinking they're headed to South America next since the flick opens in Chile next week and Argentina and Venezuela the week after. If they go back to Europe at all, it'll be the Netherlands, where fans wait for their filmed revelations on December 10. And don't forget about Japan! Maybe that trip can be like a "High School Reunion" in February.

Movie Set Travel: High School Musical 3: Senior Year
The High School Musical franchise strikes again today with its third installment: Senior Year. The Wildcats are facing college, and Troy and Gabriella realize they're going to be separated. The next logical step? Stage a cheeseball musical of course! Just exactly how our senior year ended....
Grab the nearest teen you owe a favor to and drop them off at the theater. We're not sure we could stomach all the singing and dancing, but we hear it's quite catchy and lives up to its musical name!
Where is the Wildcats fictional high school? In Salt Lake City, Utah, at East High School and Murray High where much of the film was shot. Read on for some cool things to check out in SLC...

Chasing HSM: Munich Calls Your Name
Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu (destined to be voted Most Changed from the original "High School Musical") and Ashley Tisdale hold up celebratory cookies at the German premiere of "High School Musical: Senior Year" in Munich over the weekend. Director Kenny Ortega, whose biggest credit before helming the series was creating the beloved box-office bomb "Newsies," also walked the red carpet with them (but he was cookie-less).
The premiere was held at the Mathäser Filmpalast which later this month will host the domestic premiere of "Hellboy 2" and the new James Bond flick, "Ein Quantum Trost."
Sounds so much better than "Quantum of Solace," right?

Ashley Tisdale Fishes for Family Memories
It's good to know that despite her "High School Musical" fame, Ashley Tisdale is still happy to go on family outings. She must've been glad to be there this weekend when father Mike Tisdale caught a 480-pound marlin off the coast of Maui last week.
Tisdale wasn't on the boat with her dad when he caught the fish, but she posed for a picture for the Lahaina News with the big catch. After the jump, the incriminating family photo that shows what Papa Tisdale caught off KuiKui Point.

Airport Photo Shoot: Tisdale's Travels
Jaunty hat? Check! Rolling bag and chic carry-on? Check! Lap dog? Rapidly escaping the grasp of "High School Musical" star Ashley Tisdale as she landed at LAX this weekend.
Unlike the two films before it, "High School Musical: Senior Year" will be completely inescapable when it hits theaters in October. (Could this be the first-ever instance of a movie going from TV to the big screen, and not the other way around?)
That suitcase is going to look plenty beat up by the time Tisdale, who plays bad girl Sharpay, is finished promoting Disney's tween juggernaut.

Anticipated Movie Travel: "High School Musical 3" Filming in Utah
OMG! Guess who popped up on "Idol Gives Back" last night? Our old "High School Musical" buddies Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, who sent their charitable best from--oh boy--the Utah set of "High School Musical 3: Senior Year."
We've already tracked the location of the fictional East High School, home of the Wildcats and Zac Efron's spray tan. It figures that the squeaky-clean Utah would be the site of Disney's mega-franchise. We're heading out there right now to get the chance to carry Lucas Grabeel's Uggs.

"High School Musical" Star Goes Kiwi
It's off to Auckland for Ashley Tisdale, the villainous diva of the "High School Musical" movies, where she will be filming her new adventure/fantasy movie "They Came from Upstairs." In the film, a group of kids must defend their house from aliens; here, the house in question is a classic Auckland manor recently pressed into service as a backpackers' hostel.
Tisdale recently made an appearance at the SAG Awards with fellow young actresses Amanda Bynes and Brittany Snow. According to "HSM" fan sites, she will start working on "High School Musical 3" right after her New Zealand adventures.
Until then, maybe Ashley and her fans can fill us in on the plastic surgery travel scene in NZ!

2007 Awards: Best Airport Photo Shoot
It had to be Ashley Tisdale at LAX. While Paris' luggage made us laugh, it took a photo shoot with this High School Musical star to put us in touch with our inner tween.
Ashley wasn't the only Disney girl snapped in an airport this year. Vanessa Hudgens showed up at LAX this month, toting a teddy bear and tons of luggage. Christina Aguilera and Cameron Diaz both went further afield, dropping in at Seoul's Incheon Airport this summer. But for nailing that "airport comfortable" look--and reminding us that some people are too young to have seen Planes, Trains and Automobiles--Tisdale takes this year's top honors.

Airport Photo Shoot: The Ashley Tisdale Collection Debuts At LAX
We still aren't quite sure what Ashley Tisdale does. What is her day job? However, we know she is from Jersey, know she is part of the summer of kayaking, and now we know a bit about her airport style.
Ashley recently checked into LAX and posed long enough for an airport photo shoot. Wonder if the security line takes even longer when photogs are snapping shots of celebrities in line -- more than likely. At this point wearing sunglasses inside an airport screams take my picture.

It's The Summer of the Kayak
It is officially the summer of the kayak. This week Ashley Tisdale -- no idea what she is famous for -- was repeatedly photographed somewhat successfully attempting to take a kayak in Malibu, California. However, the kayak tipping point (no pun intended) was reached long before Ashley's Malibu adventure.
Why is there such a run on these unsinkable boats this summer? First, as we told you last month, kayaking is one of the few activities you can actually do for free in Manhattan, and no cost tends to make things trendy in NYC.
On the left coast, kayak tours come with a price. Pacific Coast Kayaking offers Malibu kayaking with a brunch for $45.00 -- how decadent. The trip is a noncommittal 10 AM - 2 PM, which makes it even more attractive to slacker travelers.
Want more kayaks-are-hot evidence? If you are watching Shark Week on the Discovery channel this week, and you should be, you may have noticed the clear kayak the host used in order to spot sharks while above water. Very cool.
