This TSA agent at LAX probably saw Andy Samberg's"Iran So Far Away" SNL skit and came to the conclusion he really knows Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Instead of, you know, Fred Armisen looking very much like Ahmadinejad.
Besides SNL, Samberg just wrapped voice work on a kids' movie set to be released in 2008 called "Space Chimps." In the CGI movie, Samberg's character is the grandson of the original chimp astronaut who is tapped by a NASA commander (Patrick Warburton) to join a mission to defeat an evil alien (Jeff Daniels).
Chasing Vancouver is back from our break and it looks like Vancouver was full of location spotting over the long weekend. While multiple tipsters informed us that Good Luck Chuck was set up and filming at Howe and West Hastings over the weekend, there is a reason none of you spotted Jessica Alba. She has taken her dog, and her boyfriend, and gone back to Cali.
Yup, the photo above is actually of JA in the comfy surroundings of So Cal. That's right Vancouver, you don't have Jessica Alba to kick around any longer, er or maybe you won't get kicked around by Alba bitchiness any longer, at least until she returns to BC to film Fantastic Four II. That is if they don't make all of FF2 on a computer.
Voncouverites also gave Andy Samberg some love this past weekend, but one tipster who shared drinks with Mr. Samberg at Columbia wants him remember he owes a couple folks a drink or two up there.
While some folks were spotting filming locales, others were beginning to plot their party crashing strategies for the Vancouver International Film Festival, which kicks off later this month.

Vancouverites are noticing more and more productions going on around them, and this week really proved it. People checked out the huge skate ramp that's been built for the Andy Samberg movie Hot Rod at some suburban fairgrounds, while up in Gastown people spied on Ice Cube and his castmates shooting scenes for Are We Done Yet. For some people the most exciting thing is to know about a location shoot beforehand, so they can plan a picnic and go on down to watch. The Mark Wahlberg vehicle Shooter has signs around Gastown alerting people to some rather exciting action sequences to be filmed on the 24th.
