Amazing Race 12: Surviving a Week Off

Chasing Racers is back, with a brand new Amazing Race 12 mashup. This map will update the morning after every new episode. Send along tips, rumors, gossip, locations and spoilers to our map editors, become a member and comment on the stories below and add to the Jaunted-Flickr photo pool to get in on the fray.
Remember to zoom in, out and around on the map--with so much happening in each episode, it's easy to miss a map point.
With last night's Survivor finale preempting the Amazing Race 12, we had our own mandatory rest stop. But we couldn't get Phil and the racers out of our head, so we went back to see what's happened so far:
Despite all odds, Kynt and Vyxsin are running a terrific race; stoner chic TK and Rachel are also on fire. Ron and Christina have managed to feud their way into the second half of the show, and Nathan and Jennifer are the only pair that hates each other more. Nicolas and Gramps haven't run the best race, and we wouldn't be surprised to see them fall next week.
We've been tracking the teams around the world and have followed them through six countries so far. We've seen Nicolas frantically search Vilnius and followed the teams to the Fort of St. Lawrence in Dubrovnik. And we spent plenty of time tracking the racers through Burkina Faso. It's all on our Amazing Race 12 Map.
What's next? Italy, Japan and Taiwan are all rumored to be future destinations. As for us, we'll be glued to our screens on December 23 for Leg 7. See you then, race fans!

Welcome Back, Phil: Amazing Race 12 Starts This Sunday

Amazing Race 12 starts Sunday night, and you know we're on the case. Every Monday after the show, which premieres at 8 pm Eastern, we'll recap the best and (more likely) the worst of each episode. We'll also be plotting the race locations on our interactive Amazing Race Map, as we've done the past three seasons.
Until we see the racers on the course, there's no way to know who has what it takes to win the $1 million prize. But that won't stop us from handicapping the favorites after the jump.
