Airport Auction! Buy Yourself a Metal Detector and More This July

Ever dreamed of owning some airport waiting area chairs to funky-up your living room? Or maybe fantasized about driving an airport vehicle around town?

The UK's Plymouth City Airport was closed down in December 2011 after the airport reported fewer than 100 passengers a day passing through. However, what do you do when an airport closes? In this case, just about every single thing in the building—from baggage carts to the two-story office building complex itself—is going up for auction.

The last airline to fly to Plymouth—Air Southwest (not to be confused with the US' Southwest Air)—pulled out with the 2011 closure. They only flew between Plymouth and London anyway.
