Kick Off Fall Football Travel During the NFL Kickoff in Seattle

Are you ready for some football? The season kickoff this Thursday over in Seattle, and the Seahawks are busy preparing for this perk, which comes as part of the reward for winning last season’s Super Bowl.

It’s not just football this week, as there’s a city-wide celebration surrounding the start of the season. The NFL will host concerts, something they call the "NFL Gameday Village," and plenty of family activities in advance of the season’s very first game.

If you’re looking to get in on the action and are within an easy road trip's length of Seattle, start working on your get-out-of-work excuse now. The gates to the concerts open at 2:30pm, PT, and it’s Pharrell Williams and Soundgarden who are scheduled to take the stage over at the North Lot at CenturyLink Field on September 4.

Register beforehand for a chance to secure a spot nearer the stage, since this area does require tickets and isn’t first come, first served like the general entrance. Plan ahead and put your name in now.

Oh—and as for the game—it’s the home team against the Green Bay Packers beginning at 5:30pm, local time on Sept 4 . Welcome back football—we’ve missed you.
