Last-Minute Labor Day Deals: The Islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard

We hate to alarm you, but the summer is quickly coming to an end. Before you know it, the cooler weather will be trickling in, and those pumpkin-flavored lattes will be hitting the bar at your favorite coffee shop. That’s why it’s time to plan one last quick getaway, and Labor Day Weekend is the time to do it.

We have had awesome times on both Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, so that’s why we’re suggesting you close summer out with a bang and visit both. Sure, it might be a bit to pack in over just a few days, but when there are ferries involved, how can you resist?

The folks that own a couple properties on Nantucket—The Nantucket Hotel and Resort—and Martha’s Vineyard—Winnetu Oceanside Resort—will help you tackle both islands in just a few days. You’ll need to get yourself to Hyannis, Massachusetts, and after that they’ll take care of everything.

You’ll travel by sea to the first island of your choice, spend a couple nights there, and then move onto the next. They take care of all the pick-ups and drop-offs and you can start on either Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard—rates for adults start at $113.00.

As for accommodations it’s going to be a little pricey, but again the cost of admission to visit the islands is well worth it. Over at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort they’re offering up a deal for the dates surrounding the long holiday weekend.

Stay right on South Beach in Edgartown between August 26 and September 2, and if you call the property home three or more nights you can score 20% off nightly rates. It’s for one to four bedroom suites, so maybe grab a couple friends and make a plan—head here to check availability and thank us later.
