Three Totally Free Things to Do at San Diego Comic-Con This Weekend

July 25, 2014 at 3:43 PM | by | Comments (0)

Yesterday we gave you three fun, free things to do at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, but that just wasn't enough. So, here are three more unique events taking place for everyone (and not just badge holders):

Get a Marge Simpson Makeover

The MAC Cosmetics Gaslamp store will be selling the highly anticipated Simpsons collection for one day only on Saturday. Fans will be able to get the line before its official launch in September and receive a Marge Simpson-inspired makeover by a MAC Artist. The store is located at 234 Fifth Ave.

Fly a Drone

To promote the upcoming release of 24: Live Another Day on Blu-ray and DVD, FOX is bringing drones to Comic-Con. Fans can receive a 24-inspired flying lesson from an FAA-licensed drone pilot and then give it a try themselves. The flight experience will be captured on video which the pilot can share on social media. The drones are set up at Petco Park daily from 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM (5:00 PM on Sunday).

Zipline Through Gotham

Yesterday, San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer kicked off Comic-Con by taking a ride on the 200-foot-long zipline located in the Gotham Interactive Fan Zone near the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel. Fans are welcome to take a free ride on the zipline which is set against a cut out of the Gotham skyline. The zipline is open from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM daily.
