July 24, 2014 at 2:24 PM | by | ()

Just about everything in San Diego has an advertisement for some TV show, movie, or comic book during International Comic-Con, even the San Diego International Airport baggage claim carousels now feature ads for TNT's new show Legends. But, it isn't all bad considering some of these commercials come with free swag, food, or activities.

Here's a look at three free things fans can do today, thanks to a few innovative marketing campaigns.

· Eat Pizza

Pizza Hut and the folks behind the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie are giving away free pizza in Comic-Con’s Interactive Zone until 7:00 PM today.

To get a free slice in a special edition TMNT pizza box, fans just have to follow @TMNTMovie, Tweet #PizzaHutTMNT, and then check their DMs inbox for the redemption code.

· Play Laser tag

Nerdist is teaming up with 2K and Gearbox Software to promote Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel through interactive laser tag. Fans can play with their friends for free and may even win a few prizes. Nerdist Laser Tag is taking place Thursday, July 24 – Saturday, July 26 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Petco Park (100 Park Blvd, San Diego).

· Party at Fan Fest

Tonight, fans can take part in the mtvU Fandom Awards Fan Fest at Petco Park. The event, open to all Comic-Con badge holders, will feature free food, drinks, and celebrity appearances.
