How Nashville Airport is Bettering Your Pre-Flight Beer

Here’s something we can’t help but love, as there’s one airport that’s all about the pre-departure beverage. We’ve all had a beer—or two—before takeoff, but now the folks at Nashville International Airport are taking it to the next level.

No longer are you just limited to enjoying your craft draft at the bar, but now you’re free to take it anywhere in the terminal. It’s not quite a full-fledged beer garden at the airport—more on those tomorrow—but it is an awesome option for those looking to enjoy a beverage outside the usual setting.

Apparently the new liquor license covers the whole darn airport rather than just specific restaurants, and that means to-go beers are totally fine. We just assume that you need to discard the suds—or chug them—before heading onto the airplane.

Local brewers like Yazoo Brewing Company have already set up shop, and we can only imagine that their beer kiosk will get even more popular. We don’t have any plans to travel to or through Nashville anytime soon, but when the time arises we definitely we need a little extra time in the terminal.
