Jay-Z Introduces His 40-40 Club to Atlanta's Airport

We heard rumors about Jay-Z and his plans to enter the airport business, and now it looks like things are finally official. Along with what can only assume are a bunch of business partners, Jay-Z has just opened up an outpost of his 40/40 Club at Atlanta’s airport.
The 40/40 Club isn’t a spot that we usually frequent, but we can only imagine that the airport location is a little bit different than those doing their thing in spots like Manhattan or the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. First of all, the place is only going to be open until 11pm, so all-night parties aren’t really an option. Also, we can only guess that bottle service is probably not available at the airport—haha.
Atlanta’s location puts more of an emphasis on the sports bar concept, as it does its thing over in the concessions area of Concourse D. However, the folks behind the place and the project indicate that they’re trying their place to replicate the look and feel of the original 40/40 club.
There are even plans to set up some kind of VIP area of the place that’s separate from the rest of the bar on a different floor—this is scheduled to open later in the year.
Bottom line is that airlines aren’t the only ones with airport clubs anymore, and we’ll keep an eye out to see where Jay-Z brings this concept to next.
