Voluntourism Means Scaling the Slopes of Mauna Kea in Hawaii

Aston is giving their guests an opportunity to give back on their next trip to Hawaii.

Aston Kona by the Sea, Aston Shores at Waikoloa, and Aston Waikoloa Colony Villas are all participating in the “Leave a Legacy with Aston” program.

As part of the new hotel package, Experience Hawaiian Legacy Tours will take guests into the forest on the slopes of the Mauna Kea Volcano where they can plant their own Koa Legacy Tree. The trees will help return the forest to its former glory after being cleared to make room for farming and ranching decades ago.

“Leave a Legacy with Aston” packages start at $212 per night based on a 4-night stay with double occupancy and include two adult tickets for the 90-minute Planters Tour, including one Koa Legacy Tree for planting.

To book this package, visit AstonHotels.com/green.
