Nadi (pronounced Nan-dee) is the tourist mecca claiming the majority of the resorts, and it also serves as a jumping-off point to head out to any of the resort islands on the west coast. Don't be surprised at the lack of city center; the resorts are where people spend most of their time. We would recommend a wander around the central market of Nadi town, since it offers insight into artisan specialities and might score you some unique souvenirs or some iconic kava.
Although the beaches of the coast are an easy attraction, a trip inland to visit a small village will leave an imprint on your heart like few other experiences. Get a peek inside how Fijians really live as you sing, dance, and eat with those who grew up and live the Fijian way. Full feasts of locally grown produce, lovingly prepared by the best cooks of the village, will leave you Googling the recipes to recreate at home. Good luck finding the ingredients!
Aside from honeymoons and destination weddings that the islands do so well, Fiji offers incredible South Pacific outdoor activities, like river tours, snorkeling, diving on the Coral Coast, and off-road cave exploration. Whatever you choose to do, we know the bright smiles of the islanders will warm your soul just as much as the tropical sun.
