The Young Philanthropists - a organization that uses service project-based adventures to mentor young people and raise funds for impoverished communities - is planning a trip from London, England to Istanbul, Turkey that they promise will change lives.

The YP’s co-founders Matt Friedlund and Leon McCarron are teaming up to lead EuroTrip 2014, a cycling expedition from London to Istanbul this summer.

Participants will ride through Eastern and Western Europe while taking in the scenery and experiencing the culture. Along they way they will study a rigorous curriculum in Ethics and Leadership and participate in meaningful service projects while raising funds for impoverished children in Honduras, local NGOs across Europe, and YP Mentoring programs.

Only 12 riders will be chosen for the trip based on their application, recommendation letters, and an interview. Each student will also be expected to raise $4000 before the journey, which will take place Thursday, May 29 to Sunday, June 29.
