Fill Up for a Road Trip Out of New York with $1.98 Gas (Today Only!)

The price of gasoline is only going to keep going up, but, for at least a few more hours, New Yorkers can enjoy a break at the pump.

To promote the return of Dallas tonight on TNT, a Ewing Energies Flagship Station has popped up at 36th St and 10th Ave in New York City to offer gas for $1.98 a gallon, about half the current price of anywhere else in the city.

The stunt was announced in a video a few days ago. “Price of gasoline is too high. Well, I couldn’t agree more, and as a member of the most powerful oil family in America I’m in a unique position to do something about it,” John Ross Ewing, (played by Josh Henderson) said in the video. Earlier today the exact location of the Ewing Station was announced via Facebook.

As expected, the line for gas wraps around the corner but that doesn't mean it's too late to join in. The cheap gas will remain on sale until 8:00 p.m. (as long as supplies last) and, who knows, you might even see the show's cast while you're waiting!
