The cast of Modern Family is filming an upcoming vacation episode in Australia this week, thanks to Qantas.

The entire cast flew from Los Angeles to Sydney on Monday in a Qantas A380 that was renamed the Modern Family Flyer for the trip.

Qantas Airways and Twentieth Century Fox Television announced the partnership to bring the ABC Series to Australia last month. The airline is hoping the episode will deliver high ratings that will give Australia, "a huge boost to local tourism."

To celebrate the show's arrival, Qantas also hosted a party for the show's stars at Sydney’s Sebel Pier One last night. To get into the spirit of the trip Julie Bowen, who plays Claire Dunphy on the show, wore a dress designed by Martin Grant - the creator of Qantas’ staff uniforms - to the event.

So far, the show has been spotted filming scenes at the iconic Harbour Bridge, in the Botanic Gardens, and at the China Doll Restaurant in Woolloomooloo.

Modern Family's special Australia episode is expected to air later this season.
