There are plenty of movie-themed tours in New York, Los Angeles, and London, but if you prefer a little more adventure with your cinematic escapes, head to Moab.

The Greatest Story Ever Told, Thelma & Louise, Con-Air, Austin Powers 3, and 127 Hours are just a few of the famous movies filmed in the Moab area.

The Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission has helped put together a free, self-guided driving tour to several Moab area film locations.

Stops along the way include Arches National Park where the opening scenes of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade were filmed, Dead Horse Point State Park which was used in Thelma & Louise, and the Sand Flats Recreation Area where scenes for 127 Hours were shot.
