The airport is pretty darned excited to make it to the top ten, especially since they've renovated 20 bathrooms during a $30 million terminal facelift, spending $4.1 million on the bathrooms themselves. Each one received wall murals made from photographs of Florida's flora and fauna, stainless steel fixtures, and quartz counter tops. In probably one of the more thoughtful moves for travelers, the stalls have eve been made 6' long, to accommodate luggage and other travel bags.
An airport spokesperson noted that competition is fierce, since contenders for top spot include the likes of the Waldorf=Astoria in NYC and the Public Glass Bathrooms on the Square in Sulphur Springs, Texas. If you want to cast your vote for the airport (why not?), head on over to the website before October 31.
