There’s a couple bits of new routes news this week from the ladies and gentlemen over at JetBlue. Up first is a new domestic option, as JetBlue is adding Savannah, Georgia to their route map. Flights will start on February 13, as Embraer E190 jets will head back and forth between Savannah and New York-JFK two times daily. Next is a new nonstop between New York-JFK and Port of Spain—that’s the capital of Trinidad and Tobago. This new flight begins on February 24 with one daily round-trip flight, and then beginning in May another flight to Trinidad and Tobago will be added from Fort Lauderdale.
Those looking to escape from Sydney will soon have a new low cost option, as Tigerair is bringing a new flight to town. It looks like Tigerair will be bringing as many as six round-trip flights each week between Sydney and Perth, and the flights are scheduled to start doing their thing on December 19. Introductory fares are just north of $100 each way, but those fares seem to be for the slower travel months following the holidays. However, if you’re looking to get across the country to see Grandma—or just some friends—we’re thinking this new route might save you some cash.

We’ve heard good things about checking out Belize, and now it’s easier than ever to get there thanks to some new options from Delta—especially for those on the west coast. Delta is starting nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Belize City beginning on December 21. The flights are only doing their thing on Saturdays, as Boeing 737-800s will do all the back and forth flying. This is the only nonstop option between Los Angeles and Belize, so expect to pay a little bit of a premium. Flights leave Los Angeles just around midnight or so, and then arrive in Belize at around 7am—happy flying!
