Three Friends, Four Months, and One Stunning Video Road Trip through South America
Spring is beginning in South America. It's nearly the perfect time of the year to embark on those bucketlist trips to Machu Picchu, Patagonia, the Atacama Desert, the Andes, wine country and more. While these spots are absolutely worth your time and travel money, it's important to remember that so is the rest of the continent. In just over five minutes, three filmmakers make this case with stunning shots and exhilerating experiences caught on camera.
The short film, titled "In South America: Untamed Winds" and sponsored by Latin America for Less, follows friends, Vincent Urban, Clemens Krüger, and Stefan Templer on their 4-month road trip through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, and southern Brazil. The "untamed winds" are themselves an additional character, as you'll come to see.
This was no package vacation for the guys, and Urban hopes that a viewer is "able to feel the time passing, the huge distances, the loneliness, and even the struggles of doing such a trip." Just viewing the vehicle alone shows that they mean business.
We have just one question: what does one do after an adventure like this? Surely a return to regular life would be depressing, unless the regular lives of these filmmakers includes activities similar to this all the time.
