The airline is set work with airport execs to finalize plans to overhaul their three terminals, all to the tune of $400 million. After handing over the giant check, United will begin to revamp areas that haven't seen major updates in the last 30 years.
After all of the approval and construction, United passengers will get to brag about the following:
· Updated gate lounges
· Brand new jetbridges
· Improved security screening checkpoints
· A more efficient baggage sorting system
· A new 29,000-square-foot lounge for premium customers (in Terminal 7)
The plans are still in finalization mode and approval should arrive later this month. If all goes well, one day we may not dread seeing L-A-X on our United boarding pass. Until then, check out what's coming to the Star Alliance ultra lounge later this month.
