Training Camp Travel: Track the Indianapolis Colts' Playoff Hopes

Are you ready for some football?! There’s still a few months before the first official kickoff, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t time for a sneak peek. Training camps are set to do their thing later this month, so if you’ve always wanted to check out the scrimmages and practices now’s the time to start planning:

One of the surprise performances—and feel good stories—of last season has to be the Indianapolis Colts. After a terrible season during 2011 and the loss of the future hall of fame quarterback, there was quite a rebound and recovery during 2012.

Looking forward to the 2013 season Andrew Luck looks to get even better during his second year on the job, as the team hopes to return to the playoffs once again. They open their preseason schedule against the Buffalo Bills this weekend, but first there’s still plenty of practice ahead.

· When's Camp:
practices have been doing their thing for the last couple of weeks, as players—and fans—have been working on loosening up those muscles. Everything takes place over at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana, and this week brings open practices on August 6, 8, and 9. Times vary a little bit, but today’s option takes place in the evening with the other two options more in the afternoon. We guess that means you’ll need to start thinking on an excuse to cut out of work a little early.

· What's it Cost:
Good news—training camp tickets are totally free for the fans, so that means you can save your money to spend on souvenirs and other goodies. Just be aware that there is a parking fee to leave the car at Anderson University, so just bring a few bucks to cover that—it’s $5.

· What Else:
In case you get bored watching the drills there’s always the opportunity to check out Colts City. Here the team sets up all kinds of fun stuff right next to practice facility. Expect things like Colts inflatables, autographs from the cheerleaders, the Colts Express Retail Trailer, concessions, and interactive booths. There’s even a live band performing tonight before this evening’s practice, so today is probably a good time to swing by and check things out.
