How to Join in on the NFL Fun for 'Kickoff 2013'
We can’t exactly put into writing the sounds of the major television networks and their theme music for NFL football, but now that we’ve mentioned it we’re hopeful that it’s providing a little background music. Now that you’re in the mood for football, let us remind you that kickoff to the NFL season is a little more than a week away. As you plan your travel schedule and itineraries around Sundays and your fantasy draft, let’s also discuss how to celebrate this year’s season opener.
The season is set to make its debut on Thursday, September 5, as the Baltimore Ravens visit the Denver Broncos out in Colorado. Despite the game’s location out west there’s still plenty of fun to be had in Baltimore. As part of the general kickoff festivities, Keith Urban will be performing live back in Maryland. The plan is for him to do his thing aboard a floating stage in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor right next to the Maryland Science Center.
For those looking to get in on the fun, general public viewing areas open up to one and all beginning at around 6pm—the concert starts at 7:15pm. Everything is first come first served, but there’s also the chance to catch the action from West Shore Park and along the Inner Harbor promenade.
For those out in Denver there will be some fun as well, but you’re going to need tickets to the game to hear from Danielle Bradbery—she’s the winner of season four of The Voice. She’ll be on hand to sing the National Anthem, and we’d guess to watch some planes fly overhead as well.
To summarize, the football will be played in Denver, but the party is going to be in Baltimore. So if your team is in the game it might be a good time to start thinking about how to move the kickoff party from your couch to somewhere a little more exciting.
