The taste: As you can imagine, it's chocolate ice cream flavored with bits of chocolate Tim Tams and a chocolate lovers' cream. A super creamy icy treat with peanut-sized chunks of the cookie liberally scattered throughout. The soft texture of the ice cream matched with the still-crunchy quality of the Tim Tam couldn't be beat, even on a cool Aussie winter night.
The price: For ice cream, it's on the expensive side. Ringing up at $14 for a one liter container, we admit to a little sticker shock, but once we tasted it, we knew why. The brand, Lick, is a boutique creamery that hand-crafts their desserts while keeping nasty ingredients out of their recipes.
Where to find it: We snagged this and other flavors at a local IGA and have seen it a gourmet and specialty-markets around Brisbane. Since the ice cream is stirred-up right outside the city, this may be a flavor only locally available in Queensland.
If you'd like to share some of your foreign grocery finds, we'd love love love to see them. Send 'em on over via email here and snack on, my friends.
