The movie was filmed around St. Petersburg, Tampa and Sarasota, Florida and featured a few of the area's hotels, including the Coral Reef Motel in St. Pete Beach. The building and pool where they filmed the movie's big party scene is no longer in use but you can stay at the new and improved Coral Reef Resort next door.
No spring break would be complete without a little debauchery and in the movie it was found at Hollywood Nites, a strip club located at 3003 N. Howard Ave in Tampa.
If strip clubs are a little too wild for you, check out Behind the Undertow Beach Bar in St. Pete Beach. In the movie it is where we get our first glimpse of Alien, in real life responsible drinkers can get a free ride to the bar courtesy of the Undertow Van and then soak up some of that alcohol with a burger from Smiley's, their "sister snack shack".
There is one location in the movie you'll definitely want to steer clear of; that's the Gulfport Police Department, where the spring break girl are detained after being busted at a hotel party and where they first meet Alien.
