Video Interlude: Hardcore Parkour at an Airplane Graveyard

As you get back into the swing of things on this Monday morning we thought we’d share a little bit of a video distraction. We realize you’re probably still working through the whole lose-an-hour effect of the recent switch back to daylight saving time.

What we have here is a combination that we haven’t seen before, but it makes perfect sense. A few pretty skilled individuals—known as the Takeover—find their way into an airplane graveyard in Mojave, CA and do the whole freerunning and parkour thing.

It’s pretty long—way longer than most cat videos—and it does drag a bit in the beginning, so feel free to skip like 90 seconds into things to jump right into the excitement. They’re in the cabins, out of the cabins, sliding down stairs, and balancing on pieces of old wings. Do you best to keep an eye out for old airplanes and liveries, as we’re pretty sure we spotted a Boeing 737 that used to belong to Aloha Airlines. It’s kind of awesome.

Of course they just couldn’t resist doing one more thing while they were in the middle of all those airplane bits and pieces—what they’re calling Harlem Shake—Airplane Edition.
