If you're Delta Diamond or Platinum Medallion, you get:
· Priority check-in at Starwood hotels
· 4pm check-out
· Complimentary WiFi access (which is usually around $14.95/day otherwise)
· One SkyMiles mile per dollar spent on the reservation, in addition to SPG points
· Maybe other surprises during your stay
If you're any level of Delta Medallion, you get:
· One SkyMiles mile per dollar spent on the reservation, in addition to SPG points
· Maybe other surprises during your stay
If you're SPG Platinum, you get:
· Priority airport check-in
· One free checked bag (which would otherwise be $25)
· Priority boarding
· One SPG point per dollar spent on the flight, in addition to SkyMiles
If you're any level of SPG elite, you get:
· One SPG point per dollar spent on the flight, in addition to SkyMiles
If you're already both Delta Diamond/Platinum and SPG Platinum, you get: · All of the above, duh.
This added benefit to SkyMiles status follows the not very well-received news of changes to the SkyMiles program, which make it much more difficult to obtain and maintain elite status on Delta. Crossover Rewards are definitely one way the airline is giving more now that they're asking more, and we can always hope that the trend continues.
Crossover Rewards begins March 1, 2013!
