Two More Weeks of Skating, Tickets and LUV at Southwest's Denver Ice Rink

We’re pretty sure that when it comes to cities and their residents Southwest Airlines doesn’t want to play favorites, but that might not be the case when it comes to Denver. After all the city is the proud of home of the airline’s skating rink—Southwest Rink at Skyline Park—and now it looks like the airline is getting ready to shower the city with even more loveLUV.

First and foremost you’ve only got a couple more weeks if you’re looking to take a spin out on the rink. Winter isn’t coming to an end anytime soon—but the skating rink is—as the ice is no longer an option starting around Valentine’s Day. However, there’s still much to celebrate as the rink prepares for its final days in the Mile High City.

To celebrate things Southwest Airlines is giving away plenty of free airline tickets through something they’re calling 14 Days of LUV. Each and every day through February 14 they’ll be handing out a pair of round-trip tickets through a random drawing, so just show up and we’re sure you can throw your name into the hat for a chance to win. The fun increases on Valentine’s Day as well, as they’re planning on free skate rentals, even more giveaways, and a photo booth to capture a LUV-ing memory.

More than 40,000 people have checked things out this year, but there’s still room for you to swing by and do the same. The Southwest Rink at Skyline Park is open each and every day of the week, and you can find it over in Skyline Park. It’s next to the Daniels and Fisher Clocktower, and if your map app is on the fritz it’s kind of by the intersection of 16th Street and Arapahoe. It’s pretty darn affordable as well, as things are totally free if you have your own skates—but if not—it’s just $2 to borrow a pair.
