· Ethiopian Airlines:
We don’t hear from Ethiopian Airlines that much, but we’re kind of thinking that things could change. Just this week they announced a few new planned expansions. They’re planning to head in and out of spots like Blantyre, Malawi and Ndola, Zambia. The new flights will depart from the airline’s hub over in Addis Ababa, and it’ll be three times per week for each of the new flights. Things are scheduled to start on March 31, so start packing your bags.

· Turkish Airlines:
If you haven’t finalized your summer vacation plans yet we think that Turkish Airlines would be more than happy to help you out. They’ve got warm weather on the mind, as they just announced that they are planning to fly nonstop between Istanbul and Malta beginning this summer. The flights will do their thing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, so after a few days in Istanbul we think it makes perfect sense to bop on over to a Mediterranean island for a few days.

· Hawaiian Airlines:
Tourism must be bouncing back over in the islands following the recession, as it looks like Hawaiian Airlines is getting ready to boost some of their existing service. Starting this spring they’re upping the capacity on some of their routes, as they look to add more seats on routes between Honolulu and spots like Oakland and Portland.

Airbus A330s will do the heavy lifting across the Pacific in and out of the Portland beginning on May 10, and that should allow for around 30 more passengers to head over to paradise on each flight. For the Oakland routes it’s more back and forth aboard Boeing 767s to increase capacity, as they plan to have the planes head between the two cities every day of the week.
