Hug It Forward is building much-needed schools in Central America, one bottle at a time.

The non-profit uses everyday plastic bottles filled with non-perishable waste, along with some chicken-wire and cement, to build schools in Guatemala and El Salvador.

Theses "eco-bricks" have built dozens of Bottle Schools, giving children the opportunity at an education they wouldn't have had otherwise.

Hug It Forward is always looking for volunteers to help with their building projects. They offer one-week voluntourism trips in collaboration with DreamTrips where volunteers can work side-by-side with community members and experience a new culture.

The next week-long trip, which includes accommodations in Antigua and San Martin, leaves on March 16, 2014. The trip will remain open until Feb. 15.
