Once again this year more than 10,000 film fans are expected to brave the cold for the Whistler Film Festival.

From Dec. 4 - 8, the fest will screen 84 films from 14 countries including River Phoenix’s final film, Dark Blood, Cas & Dylan, starring Richard Dreyfuss and directed by Jason Priestley, Quebec’s highest grossing film Louis Cyr, and The Crash Reel, a documentary about snowboarder Kevin Pearl.

WFF’s Spotlight will also shine on Melissa Leo, Ali Liebert, and Emily Hampshire for an evening of conversation on Dec. 5 and Variety’s 10 Screenwriters to Watch on Dec. 7.

And, what would a Whistler event be without skis? The Celebrity Challenge, a dual-slalom race on Whistler Mountain open to corporate teams of four novice, intermediate or expert skiers and/or snowboarders, will take place on Dec. 7.

Cinematic Six Pack Passes to WFF are still available for $65. Get more information about or purchase passes at whistlerfilmfestival.com.
