JetBlue is bringing a farmer’s market to the airside of T5 at JFK, as the carrier is bringing in bushels and pecks of produce. Things will run between October 29 and October 31, so if you have been to fly through or to JFK be sure to make some extra time to stop in and check things out. JetBlue is partnering with GrowNYC to set things up, as they’ll be selling stuff grown in and around New York State.
Pumpkins, apples, and corn stalks will all be on display, and it sounds like they’ll be showing off how to do that composting thing as well as an opportunity to decorate your own pumpkin.
JetBlue is targeting its offerings to those who are both arriving and departing, so there’s stuff for you to check out regardless of your final destination. Although things are only sticking around for a few days, it does seem like this kind of farm stand might be back at JFK—or even another airport—in the future.
