Travelers enter all their details including any elite status they hold with an airline, purchased lounge memberships and credit cards that might offer lounge access. With this information, and your itinerary details, the app does all of the work, spitting out any lounges that might be accessed free and for a charge.
Depending on the airport, the app will give the lounge location in the airport and let visitors know what to expect once they walk through the doors. So, if you need to catch a shower, grab some free nibble or drinks or make sure you stay connected with some free wifi, Lounge Buddy's got you covered.
Once you have a profile you can also post photos of the space to share with other travelers so they know what to expect. If you either love or hate your experience, you even have the chance to leave a little review for fellow travelers.
While the app is still in early days after it's release this summer, the only thing we can fault is the limited number of international cities. No doubt that as the app grows in popularity, the database of destinations will grow just as much. Here's hoping.
