For those who have wandered the streets of this metropolis, this travel snapshot comes as no surprise. But for those that have yet to experience everything that Hong Kong offers visitors, this is only the tip of the iceberg of city scenes. At first glance it may garish or ugly, but the scenes gradually sew themselves into the fabric of what makes Hong Kong...Hong Kong.
This shot was snapped at dusk on the busy Nathan Road in Kowloon. Only seconds before, the switch was flipped for a few of the far signs and, as you may have guessed, just a few more minutes and the majority of the placards were buzzing with electricity. If this isn't a perfect indication of how the city morphs in the matter of moments, we can't figure out what would be.
