Gogo Internet is Bringing Feature Films To Your Next Flight
We've got something for you to watch on an upcoming flight that’s way better than just looking at the seatback in front of you. We all know that Gogo is the best when it comes to streaming those in-flight WiFi waves, and now they’re partnering up with Hollywood to bring you even more content. Let’s just hope the guy in 16A isn’t hogging all the bandwidth, so we’ll actually be able to see what they’re offering.
Magnolia Pictures has inked an agreement with Gogo, and this will allow some airlines to offer first run films before they even hit the local multiplex. This is the first time Gogo has scored something like this, and we’re kind of hoping that it’s just the beginning.
A pair of movies, The Last Days on Mars and Best Man Down, will make their debuts at 35,000-feet as part of Gogo Vision—the WiFi provider’s video on demand service. The movies will be offered a good month before they come out in theaters, so be sure to pack plenty of popcorn in your carry-on bag.
Pricing for these movies will set you back about $10, but you do get the chance to continue to watch them once safely on the ground. As long as you want to view things on the same device, you’ll have 24-hours to finish watching. Sure, these aren’t quite summer blockbusters arriving to the in-flight cabin, but we’re certainly not complaining.
