It’s not just Avatar-themed attractions and lands at Animal Kingdom, as Disney is now focusing some attention on the sights and sounds at the park that take place after the sun goes down. They’re promising a new twilight attraction where floating lanterns, water screens, and plenty of music bring a show to the Discovery River area of the park. They’ll even be revamping some aspects of their Kilimanjaro Safaris ride, as they add some new goodies that can only be experienced at night.
The only bummer with the upgrades and improvements to Animal Kingdom—both Avatar related and otherwise—is that we’ll be waiting for quite some time. Right now the new attractions are slated to start appearing at some point in 2017. That’s actually pretty good timing, as the first of the Avatar sequels should be hitting theatres during the holiday season of 2016.
