If your goal is to see the whole country from above and then pick and choose your virtual destination, this is where you want to start. There are spots all over the map where users have put in pins, and as always grabbing the yellow guy and dragging him all over the map will make the Street View options appears.
Alternatively, you could just zoom to what Google Sightseeing describes as "the beautiful Hallgrimskirkja," which is Iceland's largest church and the country's six tallest structure. It goes back around 80 years and recently underwent a major renovation. Click here and take a look - it's gorgeous.
As always, however, be warned the first person who says something douchey like "it's like traveling there without ever having to leave the couch" gets voted off the island. You've been warned.
