Skip a Comic-con for a Candy Convention This Year

Why limit your convention travel to pop culture and comics this year? There are conventions for just about anything you can think of, including candy. Here's a look at three of the sweetest candy conventions taking place this year.

On Feb. 21- 23, the 12th Annual PEZcific Coast Convention will take place in L.A. and feature lots of PEZ vendors, charity auctions, a scavenger hunt, and more activities. The convention is open to anyone interested in collecting PEZ candy and only costs $35 (if you register before Feb. 5).

Prefer chocolate over candy? Then New York's annual Chocolate Show is for you. The New York Chocolate Show is the largest of its kind with more 150 chocolatiers and pastry chefs showing off their finest products to the public. This year's dates haven't been announced yet (it's typically held in the fall) but you can sign up to receive a newsletter so you'll know all the details as soon as they are released.

If you're luck enough to be a part of the candy industry (whether you own a candy company or work at a convenience store) you are eligible to attend the ultimate candy convention - the Sweets and Snacks Expo. The convention will be held in Chicago on May 21-23, 2013 and feature "3 + acres of candy and snacks", who wouldn't want to get in on that! For more information, visit sweetsandsnacks.com.
