Habitat For Humanity Focuses on Female Volunteers with a 'Women Build' Program

September 26, 2012 at 2:19 PM | by | ()

Traditionally home building hasn't been a woman's game, but if it's up to Habitat for Humanity that's all about to change.

Habitat for Humanity is focusing its recruitment on woman volunteers through Women Build, a program for women who want to learn construction skills while building homes and helping communities.

Women Build projects, which include all training for construction newbies, are held across the United States year-round and in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Upcoming Women Build projects are kicking off this weekend in Warrenton, Virginia and Slidell, Louisiana. For more information about Women Build, visit http://www.habitat.org/wb/.
