There's One More Runway Run To Add To Your Calendar This Fall
If you haven’t been stretching and training in preparation for the run over in New York, that’s okay. There’s still time to put in a little work before another runway run.
The Runway Run 5K will hit the tarmac at Columbia Metropolitan Airport November 17 as runners and walkers do their thing right on the grounds of the airport. You’ll start right outside some of the airplane hangers and then you’ll pretty much taxi yourself right onto the runway before turning around at the end and heading back down.
Organizers expect over 500 people to hit the ground running this year in South Carolina and there’s even a fun run for the kiddos. All the proceeds go to a good cause as they’re looking to help out USO South Carolina.
Registration is available online and will set most back $25, although, the price creeps up to $30 if you register after October 1. Just make sure you’re able to get things done at a decent pace as you’ll need to cross the finish line in no more than 45 minutes.
