· Virgin Atlantic:
We’re not so sure how this is all going to work out for Virgin Atlantic, but we’re intrigued to hear that they are already planning more domestic flights. It now sounds like they’re putting plans in place to depart London-Heathrow on their way up to both Heathrow services to Edinburgh and Aberdeen. This joins their plans to link London with Manchester as soon as March of next year, but it doesn’t look like the Scottish cities have an official launch date as of yet. We're thinking there's still a few details here and there to work out, so just stay tuned.
· Lufthansa:
All right this isn’t exactly a new route, but we thought it's still worth mentioning. Lufthansa already flies back and forth between Frankfurt and Bangalore, but now they’re getting ready to change up the planes that they utilize to link the two cities and countries. Lufthansa switched things up and adding the brandy new Boeing 747-8 on routes between the two cities, and it looks like things started up as of yesterday. This is route number three for the latest version of the jumbo jet, as Lufthansa also uses it to fly over to spots like Washington and Delhi.
· Interjet: [Photos: Jaunted]
It looks like Interjet is on the move again, as this week they’re expanding their reach to and from the United States. Their latest plan is to start service out of California’s Orange County down to both Guadalajara and Mexico City. Airbus A320s will do all the heavy lifting between the new city pairs, and if all goes according to plan the new routes will take off for the first time on October 11. Our only complaint is that we’d like to see some of these low cost carriers from Mexico head to a couple more beach locations—right?
