Follow Along with Us During LAN Airlines' First Boeing 787 Dreamliner Delivery

August 30, 2012 at 5:59 PM | by | ()

You know what happens when you buy a brand new airplane from Boeing? It's not as simple as signing a contract, doing a massive money transfer and picking up the plane out back. Nope—a new aircraft delivery involves ceremony, months and months of planning for a single flight to start the plane into service, and yes—even a little key.

Tomorrow, LAN Airlines becomes the fourth carrier to receive a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and first in the Americas. It's a pretty big deal and, as the United States will be seeing routes down to Chile on her before 2012 is over, we've hightailed it out to Everett, WA to check out what LAN has in store for their fresh bird.

Here's how to follow along for all our hot and bothered LAN 787 Delivery excitement:

· Follow us on Twitter:
@Jaunted is the name and tweeting breaking travel news and photos is our game. Where there's WiFi (or 3G), we'll be there. You can also follow the hashtag #LAN787 and the personal account of Jaunted's editor, @JetSetCD, for more.

· Catch our original outtakes on Instagram:
We can't put all our photos on the site, and Instagram makes them cuter anyway. We'll be doing iPhoneography like crazy, focusing on the details, and uploading whenever we can. (username: Jaunted)

· Follow us on Foursquare:
We're addicted to putting our stamp on the world, venue-by-venue, and that's where Foursquare comes in. Be our friend on Foursquare HERE, and you'll know exactly where we are by our check-ins.

· Stay tuned to Jaunted.com:
Expect photo galleries, video and more original fun, starting tomorrow and on into next week.

And though we'll be inside and all around the brand new airplane in a matter of hours, here's a sneaky peek straight from LAN:

Disclosure: We're covering the delivery of the LAN 787 Dreamliner as a guest of Boeing and LAN Airlines, but all photos and opinions are strictly our own.
