This isn't your traditional American-style burger, read: no cheese. We're talking a slice of pickled beet, a fried egg and raw red onion topped off with a squirt of seasoned aioli. "Maccas," as their known by, doesn't call it the Serious Lamb Burger for nothing.
Although not the cheapest, it was one of the tastier McD's meals we have sampled. The burger on its own will set you back about $8 AUD, or just over $8.25 US. Aside from the cost, it was satisfying so we would say it's worth the money if you're really stuck with no where else to eat. If you are looking for a just little taste, a lamb snack wrap is also available.
The burger is just for a limited time only, but if all goes well, there could be a chance it may hit the shores of the US. Australia is considered a test market for new McDonalds menu items since the country is large enough market to get an accurate sample, but small enough not to tip the balance sheets into the red.

After seeing the actual product, obviously, the picture is only for illustrative purposes
